This is Givelo's second "Modern Classic" collection, which, after the high demand for the first one, had to be perfectly conceptualized. If you're not familiar with the concept, Modern Classic is all about "modernized heritage," in other words, learning from the past and bringing those characteristics into the modern era.
Like almost all Givelo's ideas, it starts with the fabric. For this collection, we knew that the original jersey material had to be present again; however, we also wanted to add something new and special. That's how, after revisiting our supplier and numerous samples of new materials, we settled on our new waffle-textured jersey, which perfectly encapsulates the entire concept of this collection. This textured fabric generated the initial ideas about how we wanted to present the collection, with its classic, elegant, and technological characteristics.

The initial question was, how can we communicate this idea of vintage haute couture, mixed with textile engineering? It quickly became clear that the scene for this video would have to be created from our imagination. The visual impact we were looking for was reconstructed from what we call the "modern classic living room". This living room had to be vintage, elegant, a bit original and full of little details that would catch the eye; a true likeness to the collection itself. This concept was impossible on location, so we started planning the scene in a large studio in the hills of Medellín, Colombia.
The result you see in the videos came quickly. This is normal in Givelo video recordings, improvisation plays an important role and we like to be carried away by the flow of new ideas on the spot. The plan was to create an unconventional setting in the cycling world and then zoom out the shot, to show the entire film crew. Each element was carefully selected and each member was a fundamental part of the video.

A new element that came into play in this video was the format; we decided to film several short takes of different scenes, instead of a longer video, as is usual. Not only did we want to break the standard routine, but also adapt to user attention and social media platform algorithms. More and more, we see that the content we create serves as a bridge to our brand. The new videos have had the best traction of any before, and we have been able to share more content with you.
We will soon be filming our next collection and will begin to apply a similar theme. Don’t Settle!
